Inspired by the eloquence of Darwish’s poetry, this excerpt moved the composer to write a touching melody for a choir, and complement it with a tenor solo improvisation.Commissioned by Kaleidoscope Vocal Ensemble for the 2024 ACDA Midwestern Conference. Later performed by the ‘Usul ensemble in May 2024.
