Inspired by and responding to the 2020 Beirut Port explosion, Hawanim (an SSAA group of 4 musicians), collaborated on the arrangement of this moving piece. The song repeats the word Beirut several times as a reminder of its pain, magic and hope. Hawanim also used simple melodic lines and harmony, adding a layer of lyrics of peace and resistance as a prayer for Beirut.
